Sahel Md Delabul Hossain

Assistant Professor

Sahel Md Delabul Hossain is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Humanities, KIIT (Deemed to be University) Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has taught courses in Communication, and Professional Development to the UG Engineering students, Language and Literature courses to UG and PG degree programmes students (B. A. and M. A.) in KIIT & KISS. He has also taught Commonwealth Literature to the undergraduate students of Foreign Student Exchange Program at KIIT. Presently he is also serving as the Coordinator of the degree programmes in the School of Languages, KIIT. He is guiding PG students of English Language and Literature for Master’s Dissertation, and research scholars for a doctoral degree (Ph. D.).

He is an M. Phil, and a Doctorate (Ph. D.) in English from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. He has done his Graduation (Honours in English), Post-Graduation and B. Ed. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has presented research papers in National/ International conferences in India and Abroad and has published papers in indexed journals of repute. His determination for knowledge has contributed to his success at winning the “Inder Mohan Thapar Research Award 2017” [IIT (ISM) Dhanbad] for his publication. His research interest includes Postcolonial Studies, Film Studies (Literary Perspectives), Race Relation, Gender Studies, Migration and Diaspora, ELT/ ESP, Educational Technology, and Professional Development.

Sahel believes in the philosophy that ‘education brings positive change in human behavior and society.’ He has been an activist when it comes to social welfare and is involved in social events with his peer group members and students to help the underprivileged community. Sahel believes that mindfulness in the workplace is the key to success - a tenet he lives out through his interest in individual interaction, outdoor games, gardening, and maintaining his daily routine.
