Dr. Deepanjali Mishra, Associate Professor, School of Liberal Studies, was invited as a Panellist and Session Chair at the 2026 Global K-Culture Conference, held at Chungbuk National University, South Korea. She also delivered a talk titled “K-Drama Diplomacy: Soft Power and the Global Reach of Korean Popular Culture.”
In her talk, Dr. Mishra explored the growing global influence of Korean dramas and their role in promoting Korean culture, values, language, and cultural narratives beyond national boundaries. She highlighted how K-dramas have emerged as an important instrument of soft power and cultural diplomacy, contributing to Korea’s global cultural presence and shaping international perceptions of the country.
The conference brought together academicians, researchers, and distinguished scholars from across the world.
