School of Liberal Studies (Department of Humanities) jointly organised the conference, KIIT Deemed to be University, KISS Deemed to be University, and the Indian Association of Life Skills Education (IALSE), and sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

The inaugural session was graced by eminent dignitaries and global leaders in education, including Prof. Anoop Swarup, Secretary General, Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Terrence Madhujith, Vice Chancellor, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, who delivered the keynote address. Other distinguished guests included Dr. Indrani Bhattacharyya, CEO, Child In Need Institute (CINI); Ms. Poornima Garg, Country Director, Room to Read India; Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU; Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU; Dr. A. Radhakrishnan Nair, Founder and President, IALSE; and Dr. Gauri Hardikar, Vice President, IALSE and Director, ICLSE 2026.

The conference saw active participation from international scholars and practitioners from Sri Lanka, USA, Switzerland, South Africa, Israel, Nepal, Kenya, and other countries, enriching deliberations through keynote addresses, panel discussions, symposia, master classes, and workshops.

Held under the theme “Life Skills Beyond 2030: Learning to Live Together in an Interconnected World,” ICLSE 2026 successfully reinforced the role of life skills education in advancing global citizenship, social inclusion, wellbeing, sustainability, and ethical leadership.
