The five-day online Faculty Development Programme on Translation Studies in the Digital Age: Theory and Praxis, hosted by Department of Humanities, School of Liberal Studies, KIIT University, (9–13 March 2026), explored how translation is evolving in a multilingual, tech-driven world. With 116 participants, dynamic lectures, discussions, and real-life examples, the programme bridged theory and practice, covering digital platforms, publishing, and cultural exchange.
Participants praised its insightful sessions and practical focus, highlighting its relevance for academia and industry alike, and requesting the coordinators Dr. Sudeshna Datta Chaudhuri and Dr. Subarna Bhattacharya for more such forward-looking initiatives. Bringing together scholars, translators, and industry experts, the programme worked towards empowering new conversations on translation as both craft and critical practice.
