“Posthumanism: Reflections on Politics and Anthropology” delivered by Dr. Supriya Choudhuri, Professor Emeriti, Jadavpur University, India, and chaired by Jen Webb, Professor, University of Canberra, Australia on 10 December 2024. Prof. Choudhuri reflected on Western conceptualizations of ‘humanism,’ such as those of Martin Heidegger and Michel Foucault, and underlined irretrievable ecological degradations and the precariousness of human life on Earth induced by the Anthropocene and the Capitalocene.
