A community outreach activity titled ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ was organised by Rhythm and Rhyme, Department of Humanities, School of Liberal Studies on January 11, 2025 under the banner of Art of Giving, a humanitarian initiative by Hon’ble Founder KIIT, KISS and KIMS, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta.
The activity, coordinated by Prof. Debanjali Roy, Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities, and the students of B.A. and M.A. English, was aimed at empowering underprivileged children of the community and contributing towards sustainable social engagement. The organizers had collected funds and arranged for books and stationery for children at Bugin Ha Shiksha Kendra in Godivari village, Chandaka, Odisha. Through discussions and performances, the students and staff engaged with the children and attempted to instill in them awareness and ideas of empowerment through education.
