Dr. Debanjali Roy (she/her) presently works an Assistant Professor of English in School of Liberal Studies, KIIT Deemed to be University, India. She has completed her Ph.D. from the Department of English, University of Calcutta. Recipient of the prestigious T.S. Sterling Scholarship for academic excellence from Presidency College (presently University), Kolkata, she graduated First Class in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses of studies in English Literature and has received recognition from international organisations of repute, including a travel grant to Oxford University, UK, Erasmus Mundus Teacher Exchange Fellowship, UK and scholarships from Regional English Language Office, US Embassy, India. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Her academic contributions include publications in journals listed in UGC-CARE and indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. She has also co-edited a book titled Language and Cross-Cultural Communication in Travel and Tourism: Strategic Adaptations published by Apple Academic Press, Taylor and Francis, USA. She has delivered talks and chaired sessions related to literature and culture studies in several national and international conferences and is presently associated with international organisations as the RELO Alumni Association, Association for Women’s Rights in Development, ELTAI to name a few. In 2023, she received the award for presenting the Best Paper in the International Conference on Rethinking Education in the Age of AI held in Chitkara University by EDUREFORM, European Union. Her interest areas include Educational AI, Psychoanalytic Criticism, Women’s Writings in English, Queer studies, Popular Fiction and Culture and Film Studies
