Arpita Goswami
Assistant Professor II
Dr. Arpita Goswami is an assistant professor in the Department of Humanities, School of Liberal Studies, KIIT deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has 9 years of teaching experience as an assistant professor. Prior to joining KIIT, she worked as an assistant professor at Techno Engineering College of Agartala, Tripura.
Dr. Goswami pursued her BA and MA from Tripura University and obtained her Ph.D. from the same university in 2018. Her thesis focuses on the study of linguistic aspects of the Sylheti language. She cracked the National Eligibility Test (NET UGC) and the North East State Level Eligibility Test in English. She was awarded an ICSSR doctoral fellowship in 2013.
She has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops and has published ten research papers in Scopus-indexed and other peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include linguistics, phonetics, phonology, English Language Teaching (ELT), folklore, feminism, and gender studies.

- Delivered an invited talk on “Theories of Language Acquisition" in the National Webinar on “Psychological and pedagogical perspectives and language development” 2021 organised jointly by the Departments of Education, English and Information technology of GDC Dharmanagar on 22nd April ,2021.
