Event Description: Cultural study is a riveting and stirring area of study of human culture in all its manifestations, across time & civilizations. It has made its presence in the academic affairs within humanities & social sciences and also in management & technology. The term was developed in the late 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s by a handful of British Marxist academicians and eventually transformed into a radically interdisciplinary field for its crucial functions and implications. This intellectually enriching cross-discipline promises its scholars two judicious objectives: (i) to produce detailed, contextualized analyses of the ways that power and social relations are created, structured, and maintained through culture; and (ii) to circulate those analyses in public forums suitable to the tasks of pedagogy, provocation, and political intervention.
The recent stream of lectures delivered by our panel of intellectuals swore a perspicacious observation of Cultural Studies- Discourse, traits and perspectives and of course an ever-engrossing session of global knowledge sharing among numerous academicians, scholars and intellectuals from different corners of the world.
