The School of Liberal Studies, KIIT-DU, recently hosted an engaging interactive session titled “Teaching Gender,” led by Dr. Adaora Osondu-Oti from Afe Babalola University, Nigeria. A distinguished scholar in International Relations and Diplomacy, Dr. Osondu-Oti shared her insights into innovative approaches to gender pedagogy, fostering a lively discussion among the faculty and students.
The session highlighted the cultural rootedness of gender expressions and how the diverse communities perceived the role of gender. It also focused on the contrastive and comparative pedagogical approaches in the creation of curriculum and designing of syllabuses. Faculty members appreciated the thought-provoking dialogue and the opportunity to explore transformative teaching methodologies.
