Professor

Dr. Swati Samantaray has been associated with Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar since October 1997 and is presently working as a Professor in the School of Humanities. She earned a Ph. D. degree in English from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Swati has more than 25 years of experience in teaching Professional Communication and English Literature to UG and PG scholars of KIIT & KISS. She is a recognized Ph.D. Supervisor. Dr. Swati has been conferred the Best Faculty Award by the Honorable Founder of KIIT & KISS Dr. A. Samant and Padma Shri Ruskin Bond in the year 2012. She is actively engaged in research work and is also an editorial board member of reputed international journals. Dr. Swati has authored as well as edited a number of books and also has to her credit numerous research articles and conference papers. Her widely acclaimed books include - The Mystic Flights of Tagore; Lord Jagannath: The Enigmatic Emblem of Cosmic Consciousness, and Mysticism: A Literary Quest for Ultimate Reality. Dr. Swati was also associated with Tata Consultancy Services as a faculty of Soft Skills. She has attended many national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes organized by various Institutions from time to time. Her field of interests are mysticism, eco-criticism, feminism, existentialism, cultural and film studies, folkloristics, diaspora literature. She is austerely involved in the process of students’ overall and career development and current knowledge updation. She is socially conscious and incessantly espoused to the cause of promoting and providing impetus to humanity.
