National Webinar  on “Narrative Space in Literature: Theoretical Perspectives”

Dr. Sahel Md Delabul Hossain, Assistant Professor, School of Humanities; Coordinator, School of Languages, KIIT (Deemed to be University) Bhubaneswar was invited as an expert speaker in the National Webinar on “Narrative Space in Literature: Theoretical Perspectives” held on 30 th July 2021. The National Webinar was conducted by the Department of Humanities, Midnapore City College, Midnapore, West Bengal. The focus of his talk was on the “Narrative Space in Fiction: A Postcolonial Exploration.” His talk outlined how Narrative, Space, and Narrative-Space are separate conceptual nodes, and how the authors interplay the role-space in-between the chasm (space) to create content. He also discussed on the control and contours of narratives, variation of chronicles (from the authors’ and the readers’ perspective), and the narrative space of the readers’ interpretation of the events within their respective landscapes to shape the story. The lecture was appreciated by the participants and the organizers.
